What We Do
Unlike
traditional, competitive, youth recongition programs that honor
the "best of the best," the International Youth Hall of
Fame is a community,
asset-building program that uses youth acknowledgement
as the vehicle to bring families, friends, neighborhoods, schools
and communities together to see, acknowledge and celebrate the best
in all our kids.
Youth Hall of Fame layers easily and
supports communities with initiatives employing the 40
Developmental Assets, Communities
That Care and Communities
of Promise. Since 1990, the International Youth Hall
of Fame has honored more than 3,000 youth and their families in
14 local Youth Hall of Fame chapters in eight states.

Youth
Hall of Fame Seeks New Home. After eleven
and a half years as an independent nonprofit, the International
Youth Hall of Fame is seeking to find a home for its programs in
a larger nonprofit to more efficiently share its systemic methodology
with communities throughout the US, Canada and the world.
Good
News For Change. Too often,
though, the majority of attention and publicity about our youth
focuses on the negative. It's difficult to love and encourage that
which we fear. Without nurturing and support, our youth have a future
without hope. How can we change that?
